[MTB Wheels] White rims with black spokes - possible?

Panum

Retro Newbie
Hello there,

I'm a bit rusty when it comes to MTB wheels these days, I've just recently started biking again - and yeah well, it was over 8 years since I did it the last time. A lot of stuff have changed but none the less, lets get to the point!

I'm designing my new bike, and I have this "fantasy" about the wheels having white rims and black spokes. But is it possible to get something like that, for a mortal price?
I know spinergy have blackspokes atleast - unsure about the white rims those -- anyhow, they're a bit above my pricerange.

I'm also looking for some hubs (qualitywise - something like XT) that have discbrake availability, I don't know what's hot these days... XT is still a great option?

Thanks a lot for your help, as I'm a bit lost.

Not retro, but you can get modern custom built wheelsets* that match your needs if you're running discs. Not sure if there are any white rims that are rim brake compatible

*Superstar components can do them: http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=314

XT is still good stuff

a friend of mine runs discs on his Klein... the previous owner had the rims powder coated along with the frame (both kinda milky white colour), looks cool as!

Those Tioga wheels looks extremly sexy.

Do you have any idea about the pricerange, or where you can buy them?

I've been hunting around to find a place to buy them - but seems almost impossible :(
