Feeling nostalgic so here's a pic of me up MT. tam, a pilgrimage to me, who had never been on a plane before and not since !!! (from UK) I got a plastic bottle of dirt from the top which, occasionaly i get a few grains and rub them in my hands to remind me :D  :D

Nice one, what did customs say?

What if everyone took some dirt home? All that would be left is a cross country course. ;)

So are you scared of flying? If so, that is some real love you showed to get there!

yup scared of flying, so thought if i'm gonna do it, do it for something worth while and choose a long flight so i can't ask to get off................it was ok, i had my sea bands, sick tablets, blow up foot roller to stop thrombosis...seriously i was rolling that thing under my feet for 15 hours or what ever it was  .......should have just slept under a blanket, but it was just after the twin towers got knocked down, so i wanted to be awake just in case some terrorist kicked off. Oh and the flight was cheap  Landing in Frisco was very bouncy due to cross winds and a small child was screaming '' we're all going to die'' all in all i'd do it again !

If you look at my profile pic to the left that's mt. Tam and me at the top of Eldridge grade :D

Oh and thanks to 'Caesars cyclery' for hireing us tip top bikes ;)

Which trails did you sample? Sadly a lot of the historic old bike trails are now off-limits to bikes, although some renegades still ride them at night.

hi obviously eldrige grade just to get up there 1st , but once up there i acted like i would in the uk, i just saw stuff and rode it, just like back in Wales there were lots of downward cuts off the side of fire roads leading on to others, so i just mixed and matched really :D

You can spend an hour or so riding dirt trails to the top of the mountain, where you will find a concession stand selling refreshments. Once refreshed, you then turn around and spend fifteen minutes or so riding back down the dirt trails.
