Mountain Mayhem 2020 Isolation Ride - The aftermath

I thought that i would get this started with my little ride report. My laps were on the road 6.5miles each with a goal of 10 laps before wifey got home from work.

Lap 1
Bike – GT XCR4000 i-drive
Comments – This bike is almost there. Only ones small mechanical and squeaky Judy's to sort and it is good to go off road on. The suspension seemed surprisingly supple.

Bike – Proflex 856
Comments – A few niggles to work out before it gets ridden again. Gear timing, longer stem & slightly narrower bars. I can't wait to run it off road. It always felt planted, but maybe that was the Ground Control up front.

Comments – No comment. I was going to spend most of the day on this.

Comments – For a girls bike its so fast. Maybe it was the scrunched up Graham Obree position that I was riding in.

Comments – Its a gate on wheels but worked faultlessly. And got a Strava segment 2nd fastest time

Comments – If only I was 6” shorter I would love to ride this more often.

Well, original plan was to be a mad bugger an do it solo, but what with a job change, house move and the Covid embuggerance, we decided a mixed pair would be the better option!

So Mayhem 2020 has seen the two of us spending the weekend packing our lives into many, many boxes...
