Great weather, great company, great course and a welcome return of track-side heckling.

Of the five Mayhems I've been to with Retrobike, this one comes up just short of my first one in 2010. Which is very much a positive.

Nice to see wookiee got a shot of me helping that fixing that rider's chain. I didn't just heckle.

I'll post up my pictures in a while. Just got back home after a long hot journey back up north.

21 laps in total from our one man down four man team.

But what was the mechanical guy riding!!

Awesome to attend my first one. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the banter terrific.

To the ledgend who found my car keys in the grass I genuinely love you still a day and a half later.

Didn't realise how burnt I was until I came home. Absolutely lobster red!

I will definately be back next year, a fantastic weekend. Cant recommend it enough.

What a stonker ! Dunno where to start , Maybe it should be some sleep or maybe some after sun 2 nights camping 0 nights sleep whilst camping opposite the Intruder is an interesting feeling, right now it feels like bad hangover

Thanks to all for the generousity during the weekend (you know who you are) was great to catch up with the regulars the new & finally meeting the coomber in person, Also not forgetting seeing all the glorious Retrobikes on show and being raced.

There were so many highlights for me this year a couple of my favs were :
• DSP this am full on raving to the tunes in hot sunshine with a fleece and woolly hat on whilst encouraging people to rub Batmans belly over the megaphone
• The Jelly mice handouts
• Putting up the Marquee (you had to be there)
• and …… I guess the apples

Thanks again to my well oiled 10 man crew, same place, same time next year

I will add some pics soon when BT sort my lack of interweb , they are mostly of Craig sunbathing or some really not very nice superman pics

Ha the marquee! Turns out we had more parts for the marquee than places to fit them too! Same time next year James thanks for organizing our team again and sorting who went wear. Craig wasn't sunbathing he was "retro tanning" i.e. going really red and having fluffy hair!

They are about as genuine as tea made from a bit of paper which once lay in a drawer beside another piece of paper which had been used to wrap up a few tea leaves from which tea had already been made three times. And probably with the same UV protection...not mentioning that you looked like a 1980's cricket umpire!
