Mountain Cycle Fury

G'day everyone, I am currently building up a Mountain Cycle Fury, the LBS is saying they are having problems fitting a BB and cranks due to the cranks hitting the swing arm.

What BB and cranks is everyone using on their MC Fury?

I am wanting to run either single or dual chain rings.

Have them measure the bb spindle and determine how much wider they need. From there it should be easy.

If your lbs is having that sort of trouble, I'd find another lbs.

Generally speaking, a set of cranks will have a predetermined BB axle length as a rule. There are plenty of online resources showing what cranks and BB axle lengths, such as Sheldon brown. An lbs should have access to manufacturer specs.

That said, some frames are built different and need a different one to standard, and any lbs worth their salt should be able to figure that out.

What cranks are you trying to fit? I'm sure the rb hive mind can help figure out what you need from that and the frame.
