Mountain Bike World '97 - Kona Kilauea vs Saracen Kili

Hi,

I have just uploaded a review from Mountain Bike World on rigid steel mountain bikes onto my album

It features a Kona Kilaeua and Saracen Kili Comp both from '97

nice - thanks for that. I have two of those Saracen frames. They appear to have worried about the durability of the frame in the article - but I can confirm that I have hammered mine fully rigid around Cannock many times and there are no issues whatsoever.

Glad you enjoyed the read. I dont know what they do at bike mags when testing but it must be a bit hardcore. There were similar worries about the strength of early alu frames.

Always had a soft spot for Saracen bikes, but ended up with the Kona as featured.
