Mountain bike powder coat

I use a local guy for a lot of the parts I make, he did this frame & forks for £35 + VAT He masks all the threads before powder coating.

Why is it so hard for people to put a location in their profile??

There's some great powdercoaters in Warsaw, Sydney and Outer Mongolia.. if you're local

...says the guy without a location in his profile

Guys, thanks for the advice...details of the Bingley link would be great. I'll have a look at the lot though.

IDB1, what's with the attitude??? I only joined this afternoon and haven't worked may way round the system yet.

FWIW, masking the threads before coating is too late! They have to be masked before blasting as any slight residue of the blasting agent will be baked into the thread at 180 degrees centigrade during the coating.

If in doubt, mask the threads yourself with screws.

Depending on whereabouts in the Peak District you are, I know a very well trusted powder-coater based near Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Feel free to PM me if that's any use to you.

And welcome to the forum by the way.

i use first choice finishes in exeter devon excellent finish only problem is the frame glows in some photos

If near Bristol then there is only one place worth taking to http://www.realitymotorworks.com/ I had my Saracen done there and the result was and still is amazing.

I am doing another there very soon and is a third of the price Argos would charge ;)

Cool. How much is that? Also does it include a shot blast?
