Can't wait to see the lotus finished and then in the flesh

Eh ?, AJM is right, it'll never be finished, i use it a few times during the week (and hopefully not break down) then do major repairs at the weekend

Re:

I'm open to suggestions :?

A funny thing happened, I went out the door this morning to walk Alf. There RIGHT at my gate in front of the Audi was a BM'er 320d with a For Sale sticker on it  I had a look around for hidden cameras You've Been Framed.

Re:

What's up wi the Audi? I'd go for another Audi or VW but make sure it's a turbo-diesel. Great fuel consumption and plenty of power/torque. Choose an estate as well for chucking everything in the back, dug, bike etc. Don't get the VW Passat like mine, as the front suspension is mental, it has 4 arms, 4 ball-joints, 4 rubber bushes and a complicated to adjust ie dealer only track-rod end PER SIDE. If you could live with that OK but otherwise naw.

Re:

Lad at work has a volvo estate which he loves. V70 I think.

Or somethin a bit smaller, say a ford focus, cheap to run etc but still decent sized boot.

Have to say I'm loving being away from the big audi diesel, enjoying driving again lol.

Re:

What's needing done to the Audi? If it's not needing welded, just mechanical why not just do that as it's got to be less than buying a new car? Mind you I get the reluctance to spend on an older car, my mate just scrapped his Peugeot 406, bodywise in perfect nick, because he didnae want to spend the 600 notes needed to MOT it, after the £400 last year. Got £110 off the scrappy.

Clubby no heard much from you about your new car, did you get the Evoque?

Aye, it turned up eventually, 3 months late. Then couldn't drive it because of my collarbone. Love the tall driving position and it feels great in bad road conditions. Fuel economy dropped a bit but still getting 40mpg, so not too bad. Not had bike in it yet but should be ok with only front wheel off.
