The only thing I would add to what Mr P has written is the bulkhead is steel, and they do rust. It also happens to be about the most awkward part on a Landy to replace or repair properly, so it's worth paying extra to get one in good nick. And stay away from the pre TDi diesels. They will really test your patience. And the six pot is not much better by all accounts.

Lightweights (now there's an misnomer if ever there was one!) are quite cool, but carry a price premium nowadays to match it seems. Used to be really cheap a few years back when the MOD was in the process of releasing them.
