Most annoying parts to fit !?!

rear mechs

im having fun trying to get the mid80s durace rear mech to stop jumping slightly on 1 cog at the back.20 years building allsorts of bikes and im still stumped.any one want to swap an xtr for it.its got a ti hanger bolt and silver control tech jockey wheels.....

I hate setting up Magura HS33's & Front Mechs.

Non bike = rollerblinds and any kind of problem behind the dash in my car

It's got to be trying to get any tyre on my spinergy zyclone disc had them 7 years had to cut of atleast 10 pair's of tyres, dislocated a finger trying to put slicks on but i seem to be a bit of a wizz with stermy archer hub's , don't ask me why as i may have to kill you

Just last night I had to saw off some handlebars to get my junk off past a seized-on bar-end. The cut ended up sort of rough due to my not even owning a proper hacksaw, and I ended up sliiiightly bending a HS-33 lever open-SNAP!

RUUUUAAAAAARRRGGGGH

Also transplanting a crown race is just rage-inducing. IT NEEDS HAMMERING. PLEASE, PLEASE INVENT A CROWN RACE THAT CAN WITHSTAND THE ONLY VIABLE WAY OF INSTALLING ONE. I don't care if it weighs three pounds, I'll use it!

And is it me or do Marzocchi steerer tubes flare slightly outward towards the bottom? I tried the old hit-a-spacer-not-the-race trick and got a spacer COMPLETELY STUCK halfway down the tube. Got that off by beating the heck out of it though.

Well, its not fitting but setting up gears.

I never have been able to set them up 100%. Yes, its  for me, but I just can't no matter what I do :(

One day I'll watch and learn from one of you lot!

the thing that gets me is the internal cables as many of you have said, i just had to build 6 cervelo bikes for the RAM, ride across america, 3 carbon soloists and 3 p3's, all have internal brake and gear routing!

there were many a swear word heard echoing through existence in those couple of days! the worst thing was when i realised how much of a sod it was on the first 1 and thinking, bugger, got 5 more to do!!!! :x :x

headset, b/b's, gears, brakes, pedals, assembly generally are all fine once you've been in the trade a while and tyres, after a while you get the "thumbs of steel" :D
