A P&P frame from CTK had been lurking in the garage a while so I thought it time to put together, run it up the flag pole and see who salutes it...

Mountain LX cranks, mechs, MT60 cantilevers, 600 bar-end shifters.

Pacific Cycles Fila branded DB 4130 frame

LX hubs on Rigida Lazer 400 rims

DX seatpost

Avocet 'cross' tires

Its a very 'tingy' frame with lots of spring and the standard look of late 80's cromo bikes with the stays finishing at the seatpost clamp.

Anyway, I put together just for fun.

its actually a bit of alright out on the road..

???????? can you be more explicit ? (sorry I'm french so don't get the sublety)

Is that the saddle tuning you're comfortable with ? looks a bit nose diving to me.

Have you thought about inserting some more washers or a piece of tube (made of plastic preferably) between the mudguard and the chain stay bridge ?

How light/heavy is it ?

Oh and I'd change the handlebar tape for black one, but that's just my taste.

'Tres bon, dans la rue' I think - very good on the road

saddle is all I have spare at the moment

Mudguards need further finishing as you mention.

Thanks ! Am I right guessing that's british understatement ? Anyway I like the expression.
Here's one of the funniest english expression and one of my favourites : "to go like shit off a shovel".
It took me some research to find the etymology but it was worth taking the time !
By the way, I still don't know why a bicycle is a "she" for you brits, any ideas ?
