MOOTS PORTAGE PAD NOS - I hate it when this happens

So this was an auction for a NOS Moots Portage pad kit, and I had bid on it early. The auction had only 1 day left to go, and there were no other bidders (all o them waiting for the last minute I'm sure).

All of a sudden the seller, ends the auction, and cancels my bids

I had placed a high bid...oh well. Here's the link:

I won't be bidding on or buying anything from this seller again

Frustrating but looking at his feedback I reckon you probably just avoided future frustration (feedback looks ok but read the comments - a fair few 'positive' are in reality 'neutral' or worse e.g. page 3).

Someone did this on the forum to me the other week and was annoyed, why list things , especially at a low starting price , if your just going to pull them off from sale

This kind of thing happesn on ebay...I made my post while I was a bit upset

imo, it's even less acceptable on the forum.

as for his feedback, he use to be the Flybikeshop, or something like that. It's run out of a real bike shop, and they sell a lot of used items for ok prices; just people expect more I guess.

He brought it back with a very high buy-it-now price:

for a guy worried about it making $10 on the first go round, he sure is optimistic.

he might have reason to be.

perhaps I'm to blame; I emailed him, asking why he ended it, and that I would've bid big on it (I wouldn't...I don't think, well maybe). He responded with an apology and that he was concerned it would sell for $10, and would rather use it on one of his rides. Understandable; I guess, but then use a reserve.

Someone else offered him $200 for it, so I think that is why he posted it with its current BIN price of over $300

Before he reposted it, I offered him $60 for it...apparently, I was lowballing, and didn't even know :p

It's a cool part...let's see if a vrc guy with deep pockets satisfies his itch.
