Ok - you know my history and where I get most of life's 'stuff' from, either the tip or carboot sales.
Now, I get rather upset about buying anything new and spending vast amounts of money on say, a big TV or PC or other electricals, bikes etc when I know if I wait, they'll turn up.
I've repaired a plasma that came into the tip, my hifi came from the tip, my bikes are mostly tip sourced. the 3 computers in the house are tip sourced, as with the laptops. I patiently repair everything or just change a fuse where required.
I repair rather than replace. Heck, even the coffee table, a nice bookshelf and a set of drawers came from you-know-where.
the only thing I still buy 'new' are clothes...
does that make me a moneysaver (not that I ever seem to have any) or a tight fisted git or a danger to the economy?
