Hi

I am looking for some recomendations for some slick tyres for my Saracen Mountain bike, luckily i have a spare set of wheels so can keep a set for when i use the mountain bike for charity rides and road work.

The budget cant quite stretch to City Jets, so wondering if people could recommend some slicks for say £15 or so, just need them for a couple of times a month but need them to be half decent.

:)

Im using these are present and have been all winter and into the trails too. admittedly its decidedly hairy using pure slicks off road when its wet but even at slow speed its fking hilarious trying to keep to a line
They do the same model in a 1.1 or 1.2" :? These are 1.4", runs at about 70 psi.

Re:

Schwalbe City Jet tyres were the first to come to mind, I''ve used them in the past and can't fault them really.
Amazon have them for £11.27 each with free shipping, hardly going to break the bank. You may even find them cheaper if you search online.
Brands like Nokian and Duro amongst others also make slicks similar to the City Jet/ City Slicker, but from experience they are not as good (heavier, more prone to puncture, wear faster, less grip).

Thanks for the advice, I have tried wiggle, evans and chain reaction but never thought of trying Amazon.

Re:

A noticeable difference. I now use 1.5 tyres for all road cycling when riding my Explosif. I have a pair of city Jets and can definitely recommend them.
