Modern Avid disc brakes.

My Magura rim brakes suck in the wet/mud and as thats 95% of my rides i was thinking of fitting a disc brake.
I have avid juicy ultimates on my "proper" bike and they are brilliant, my mate has a juicy 5 kicking about that i could have but the prob is its for the rear.
Can i flip the lever upside down, shorten the hose and run it as a front brake if i bought the correct post mount kit to go with the forks?
Cheers, Paul

Yes. The only thing is you may need an adapter/new rotor to run it. A rear caliper on a 160 rotor, will need a 180mm front rotor or different adapter.

I have to buy a post mount adapter to use it woth my forks anyway so thats all sorted.
Had a look at it today, it has writing/logos printed on the top and bottom of the lever so it can deffo be used "upside down" :D
