I don't use em, I melt the end of the cable into a tiny ball with a TIG welder.

Quite like the green ones though :mrgreen:

BITD i would get excited but now I use a short length of shrink wrap cable to not only save weight, a neater look and much easier to get off than a crimped on cable end.

I have weighed a cable end and 4mm of shrink-wrap and can confirm that cable ends are actually .045 grams lighter. On a full bike you're actually gaining nearly .2 grams of unnecessary weight, so you're doing yourself a disservice.
