The retro bike family were certainly a formidable force and were certainly noticed by the mass majority over the weekend. The commentators were commenting on various Retro bikers steeds all weekend and the stand was constantly busy with folk sniffing round old bikes getting more excited than looking around the new 3k exotica on other commercial trade stands.

Our heckling tent was by all means the noisiest tent around the whole of the circuit with 'Work, use, unleash' THE 'lights, hill, INSERT BIKE NAME/RACE NUMBER 'man. woman, solo' OR general encouraging insult being the general chorus.

Big thanks to JV for lending me his number to squeeze in a lap on Sunday morning, I throughly enjoyed the lap and the lack of gears to get clogged on the single speed came into it's own.

I have up most respect to Ed Edwards and his enthusiasm to participate after a very short time of being ill and to Heathey for being as enthusiastic about heckling after his fall as he was about riding before his spill.

Gus pre race preparation was a little like a Jack Dee comedy sketch to watch with general grumpiness, indecision and being overwhelmed with the choice of tyre being order of the day.. The irony of it all was that after all that he walked off the line and did two laps... Thats £32.50 per lap 'for the glory triangle'.

My girlfriend Eleanor really enjoyed the weekend and mentioned being up for doing a lap next year after watching Mrs Kawasaki's and Sarah fine effort of flying the female RB flag around the course.

"Looking at the various solo's and squads, it's a safe bet the Sports Casuals will do the most laps of all our teams....!" said an industry insider...

I guess they were correct......
