Selling frame/forks/headset at £100 + £15 delivery to UK mainland - SOLD to poggiali
Made from Reynolds 531SL (Special Lightweight) tubing which was thinner gauge than normal 531. Weight of frame/forks/headset is 2.5kg.
This is a lively, responsive, close clearance "time trial" frame but not so extreme as to make it twitchy at all.
Price for frame and forks includes Tange headset.
Specification
Frame
MKM 531SL frame and forks with Gipiemme dropouts front and rear. Special "no-eye" on rear with adjusters. Vagner fork crown "breathed on" by the builder to make it more aero. Paint damage on dropouts, scratches as per 'photos and a crimp on the seat tube from the front mech. I bought the vinyl transfers from H Lloyds along with waterslide MKM Olympic rings to go on the top tube but unfortunately the non-drive side one disintegrated as soon as I put it in the water so the rings are only present on the drive side. Lloyds still have the rings in stock but I never got around to buying another set. There's also only one 531SL fork transfer as well because when I bought it on eBay I thought it was a down tube one! All these transfers are on top of the lacquer so will come off easily enough.
Measurements:
Seat tube 22.5" (57cm) c-t (approx 21.875" (55.5cm) c-c
Top tube: 21.25" (54cm) c-c
Head Tube: 6.125" (15.5cm)
Chainstays: 15.75" (40cm)
Wheelbase: 38" (96.5cm)
Fork rake: 40mm approx
Misc: 27.2mm seatpin, 100mm front and 126mm rear dropouts. English BB
Weight: Frame, forks, headset and seat binder - 5lb 8oz (2.5kg)
Headset
Tange Passage steel
Cheers,
Mark.
