Hello all, I have a nice 1 1/4 loose ball M730 XT headset ready to fit to my recently acquired TITAN Titanium frame, but it is missing a few balls! Does anyone have a link to those superb shimano technical docs, or any info on the size would be great! Many thanks in advance.

I tried some bearing specialists with no luck as they are all sealed now!!!! I did however find loose bearings in an oldie world bike shop in the next village. I think they were just under 4mm, so imperial size?!? 80p for 50.! Bargain

completely off the top of my head here, so forgive any mistakes, but I'm pretty sure the 1-1/4" XT takes bearings that are 5/32 in size and (also from memory) this equates to 5.4mm???

Mine is off an Alpinestars Cro-Mega 1-1/4", runs fine! I'll watch this thread, if you can't get hold of any, and get desperate, let me know?

Saying that the M730 is a different series to the M735 (1"), 736 (1-1/8"), 737 (1-1/4") series.
