Mint original Trek 8900 XC Pro with Logic cranks and Grafton brakes.

Thank you, the seller was really nice. She has a little business that sells things for people on eBay. The bikes all came from the estate of an older chap who was quite well off.

The smaller one is missing its wheels, seatpost/saddle and pedals. The bigger one is also missing its handlebars and controls, which were unfortunately sold separately in a previous auction, the lady didn’t realise which bike they belonged to.

It looks like the older chap swapped a few parts around despite not really using the bikes, the Sugino XP chainset on the smaller frame I have would have come fitted to the 8900, and the Ritchey logic chainset fitted to the 8900 is from the Cannondale Delta V in one of her other auctions!
I won the delta v, thought the same re chainset swap. There was a nice m700 frame also that looked mint but sadly missed the auction for that.

The Delta V looked great, I would’ve been bidding for that but it was too small 👍🏻

The person who originally won the M700 backed out of the deal and the seller offered it to me cheaply last night. I declined, again due to the size, she re listed it last night for £140 bin and it sold straight away.

I’ve been looking for a nice one of these for a long time, they were fitted to the 89 Fisher RS1 on a huge poster on my bedroom wall and to the lusted after Trek 8900 in the Richard’s Bicyle book I pored over as a child. I didn’t think I’d find one this nice! The rings are probably from the Ritchey Logic chainset 😂
