I'm thinking of selling my beloved '97 Klein Adroit and was wondering how much I should ask for it..?

Spec:

Medium Klein Adroit Frame in Red/Yellow Koi colours ('97)
Mission Control stem/bar combo ('97)
Rock Shox Judy forks ('97)
Mavic Crossmax SL Wheels (2007 New)
Middleburn RS3 Chainset ('97)
Thompson Elite Seatpin (2006)
SRAM XO Rear Mech (2007 New)
SRAM XO Rapidfire Shifters (2007 New)
Red splined SRAM90 Cassette (2007 New)
SRAM70 Chain (2007 New)
Flite Ti (V
Rob Warner Base Jump Pedals

Frame is in excellent condition. A couple of tiny scratches and NO dents whatsoever. Forks work well but could do with a service. Bike has been used for commuting only since the 2007 parts were fitted. Spent over £600 on these new parts which have hardly been used.

I almost can't bear to part with it but I'm thinking of trading up to something else. What do you think I should be asking for a reserve price?

I'm biased and am hoping for over a grand for it as its a near mint specimen of a classic Klein in classic colours. What do you peeps think?

These pics are before all the mods..

Bought it off eBay last year for £800 with a pair of 2004/5 XTR wheels (not the crossmax style ones) then fitted all the Sram/Mavic stuff at a further cost of £600.

Forgot to mention I've added Avid Speed Dial Ti Levers and XTR V Brakes as well :)

The best way is to split the bike and sell the parts separately. It's more hassle but you'll get more cash compared to selling the whole bike.

'97 Adroit is not that desirable since it's Trek-era bike and not "real" Adroit anymore. So don't expect bidding mania for it. NOS frames were sold $399/piece a while ago...

Although Trek acquired Klein in 1995, Klein carried on making them in their Washington factory until 2001/2 when production was moved to Trek's factory in Wisconsin. Mine's a Washington built one with gradient tubing - I thought they were among the more sought after ones before Trek took over production and the quality went downhill?

Adroit

Were some of the post-trek Adroits not just rebadged Attitudes? Thought i read that on here somewhere. Could be wrong but i'm sure one of our Klein gurus will correct me
