Otherwise I can buy a 94BCD spider is someone is willing to sell it.

Well it seems you, Bduc61 and I can swap :

110 Silver VWP -> Croupion
110 Purple Croupion -> Bduc61
94 Purple Bduc61 -> VWP

this was what I was thinking, there likely a way to remove the anodising or see if it can be vapour blasted?!

vapour blasting is probably too harsch
"caustic soda" for "toilets" ( in gel form not the oven canister one) works well but
1) don't leave the part too long in it - I use a stainless steel deep dish which I place in the sink
2) dont be "scared" by the blackish colour that is produced - it cleans with a brush and liquid dishwasher
3) may need a second run ( shortish)
4) polish - yes corners can be tricky !
5) be careful during the process........

Hi Croupion - can you do a pic of the backside of your spider and one from a lateral point of view. That will confirm if your spider has an offset or not ;-)

Yep, I've just dismounted and cleaned it up.
I'm actually wondering if it was not a red one before, but turned pinkish under a lot of UV...
