Middleburn crank history

those RS3's are immaculate

Goldtec offered their glorious rings as an £800 package with Middleburn made cranks. They were logo-less.
They were available in Black or Silver.
Their sales were very slow and consequently Middleburn ended up selling some off at shows etc.
I have some of the Silver RS1's bought without logos from the Middleburn stand at bicycle expo 199something.

Their hubs are lovely. I've been using a set since the beginning and now have 3 sets of them on several bikes. They need a bit more care than Hope, but sound great and perform just as well.

These are my RS-DH cranks, rather worn and dirty and badly photographed on a phone, but still pretty solid.

Thin Lee is refering to the mega sized ones which appeared in Dirt 10 or 11, if I get the time I'll dig out and scan.

They were silly big.......

Just dug out this old thread after having a bit of a tidy up in the loft after finding the RS2's i was talking about on page 2

They are the RS2's without the logo on which i got off Bob at Goldtec some years back so have a bit of history.

If anyone is interested in them let me know and we can sort something out

So that makes them a road version. What is the difference between the road version and the MTB? These have clearly been used in a muddy situation, with mud in the cut outs etc
