I dont think the Sunrace have a friction option.

Left hand is friction/ratchet.

The Sunrace comes in both friction, and indexed for the left shifter. I have no idea why, but I wound up with one of the index ones by not paying attention.

Update,if you are using modern Shimano disc levers they simply wont fit right.The angle the shifter needs to clear the reservoir cap makes the shifters nigh on impossible to use.The only upside is I actually got a few quid more than what I paid when I sold them on.Not sure about other levers but for modern Shimano its a no no.
