Dibs are fine as long as you follow up with PM within a few hours.

All prices are excluding postage which will be at cost. I’ll use Royal Mail and Parcel Force for most items but for big, light parts such as bars, Collect+ or MyHermes is often a cheaper option. Happy to ship overseas via Royal Mail.

I’m a busy person so please be realistic about packing and postage times. Usually 3 working days will be OK, but sometimes it may be a bit longer.

All parts are listed in good faith. I’ve sold hundreds of bike bits on eBay (heywood5544) but now I’ve worked out how to shrink photos on my phone, I’d rather sell them within the Retrobike community. If you have any issues with anything I sell, please let me know and I’ll do my best to rectify.

First up, M950 XTR
- STI. Excellent condition. No scuffs other than to left hand lower shift lever - and it’s pretty minor, and “glove rub” adjacent to RHS upper shift button. See photos of both. Windows clear. £75 > SOLD

- Rear mech. As good as you’ll find a used one to be in my opinion. £45 > SOLD

- V-brakes. Good condition. Some light rubs and surface corrosion to steel parts (e.g. springs and washers). Bolts included. Pads have some life left, but not much. £50> SOLD

- Cassette. 11-30 or 11-32. I’m only going to sell one or the other. 11-30 is photod but both are equally excellent. £50 > 11-30 SOLD

Next up it’s 25.4mm handlebars

- Ritchey WCS. Original and uncut at 560mm wide. A frankly amazing 123g on my digital scales. No scuffs or scratches. No dents or crimps to ends. No crimps on clamp area but decals are worn here. Of the 8 decals, 2 are excellent, 4 are good and 2 are missing bits. The best and worst are shown on the close up photo. However, all would be easily touched in with a fine permanent marker. £50

- Ritchey Forcelite in honest, used condition. Uncut at 560mm with Lots of superficial cosmetic rubs and scratches and all decals worn. One end is a bit scuffed. No crimps on ends or centre clamp zone. £7.15

- X-Lite XC riser in excellent condition. Uncut at 610mm wide and weighing in at 258g. Red anodising is bright and deep with no fading. One or two minor scratches here and there and the RH End has a minor graze. £25

- Easton CT2 Monkeylite XC riser in good condition. This has been used regularly on a number of my bikes. Lo-rise and uncut at 610mm, it’s only 156g but utterly reliable. Superficial scuffs, especially in the clamp and grip zones but the Easton “E” and “Monkeylite” graphics are in good order. £25

- Bontrager Select. A bit more modern but a good way to get a reliable, slightly wider bar that looks right on your retro rider. Good condition with only minor rubs in the clamp and grip zones and the odd scratch here and there. Uncut at 600m, and a reliable 224g in weight. £7.15

Now for a set of Triple Butted Kona P2’s.

The paint is largely excellent and very glossy. There is one patch of corrosion above the LH canti stud (as you look at it from the front). There is dirt on the drop outs and crown which looks like corrosion, but isn’t. I just haven’t cleaned them very well! A to C is 395mm and they have “TB” marked in the steerer so they are genuine Triple Butted. They weigh 830g.

The only problem is the steerer is really short at just over 120mm. I was going to ask my framebuilder to braze a new section on top but I don’t teally need them so I’m not going to bother. If you want to pursue this option at cost, I’m happy to talk to Lee to see how much it would cost - I would estimate £20. Therefore, looking to sell for £30.

- Cranks and rings. Good honest usable condition. Lots of shallow scratches on both arms and heel rub on drive side. Light impact scuffs on ends of both arms. Rings are all excellent. The inner is included, just not in the photo! £40 > SOLD

- Rear mech in very good condition. Only a light scuff where they all get scuffed. Some crazing and scratches to silver anodized bits. I’ll find a cable barrel adjuster but remind me before you pay! £17.15 > SOLD

Headsets and aheadsets. Both 1” and 1 1/8”

From left to right (in photo 1 - where CHris King is on far left)....

- Chris King 1 1/8” aheadset. Bearings smooth as the day they were new. Black in good condition. Any marks will be hidden when installed. No crown race or the small, clear plastic washer. I’ll find a bolt to tighten it all down though. £41.15 > SOLD

- Ritchey Pro 1 1/8” aheadset. Bearings smooth and cosmetics excellent. Will include a clamp bolt. £10 > SOLD

- Shimano 105 1” headset. Crown race distorted and lower bearings rough. Upper bearings and overall cosmetics good. £7.15

- Dia Compe 1 1/8” aheadset. Silky smooth bearings and excellent cosmetics. £27.15 > SOLD

- Ritchey Logic 1” a-headset. Bearings good (and easily replaced). Cosmetics good. £10

- Mart Elite 1 1/8” aheadset. Top quality. Silky smooth bearings and excellent cosmetics. £17.15

Saddles....

From Left to right:

- WTB Laser. From 2006 so not that retro but great condition and classic looks. £17.15

- Marin OEM by Selle Royal. Nothing special but great condition. £7.15

- Veta Anatomical. Looks worse than it is because the cover has come unstuck but 5 min with some glue and it’ll be good as new. No rips or tears. Minor scuffs on rear edges - has gone through for about 4mm on RHS Rear Edge. Manganese rails. £17.15

- Bontrager Ti. Same price as a Flite Ti back in the day (£60 in 1996). Dubiously recovered in leopard print suede. It’s an acquired taste but it’s a great saddle and you may like the way it looks! £25 > SOLD

WHEELS BROKEN DOWN

Everything available to buy expect the rims. See later post for more details and prices.

This is the wheel set that came on my Formula One. Someone went to a lot of effort building these with sunset rims to match the flip paint, gold nipples to match the decals and even going so far as to have the XT M737 hubs anodized gold to a very high standard. Spec is as follows:
Hubs: XT M737 with a unique gold anodized finish.
Rims: Mavic X217 Sunset
Spokes: 32 DT Swiss Stainless
Nipples: Gold aluminium
Skewers: Gold QR with titanium spindles
Cassette: XT M737 in great condition
Tyres: Panaracer Fire XC Pro.  These are fine with barely any tread wear but have succumbed to the "old tyre syndrome" of minor cracking.  I'd be happy to ride for now, but may be best for a "garage queen"
The wheels are straight and true and the bearings smooth.  As will all cup and cone bearings, they would benefit from a re-pack with fresh grease but this is not a necessity.  the is some wear to the brake surface but this is absolutely minimal.  Both rims still have their decals in place but these are peeling away in some areas and just need re-sticking.

I’m after £160 for the full package but am happy to sell without the tyres, skewers and cassette. If so, the following prices apply:
- Wheels only £120
- Skewers: £25
- Cassette: £20
- Tyres: £20

I do have some XT M737 skewers in good condition but they are not gold, if that is more your thing
