It just goes to show how people are affected now by money, either there is not enough of it around, in the right places or people are just becoming too greedy.
But interesting the mention of the gold rush in that town, because what were the conditions for people then when gold fever struck , for sure people were not wealthy as they aren't again now, there indicating yeah, we might have more stuff and in some places a better standard of living but we have not progressed very far at all.
But if someone is prepared to pay £600 a gram for the stuff, stuff that does not even enhance their health, all I can say, is mad, fools, money and obscene extravagance.
