Metallica - Creeping Death EP

..i'll stop at that line methinks.. Probably the crudest song they covered.. off Garage inc.

What about "So What" by the anti-nowhere league? That's one of the most offensive songs ever, full stop. It was fantastic when Metallica came on and did that at the MTV awards. I would link but I'm on my iPhone which won't do flash...

The creeping death EP is great. The title song itself is one of their greatest and used to be their first track on a live set until they changed it for the DM tour.

I've got the follow up garage days re-revisited (the $5.98 EP) three times - once on original vinyl, once on the 10 and a half year anniversary box set and once on original issue CD. All worth loads so I'm told. I'm a big fan of everything up to black - that's ok in parts but was the beginning of the end.

Seen them upwards of 20 times all told. Including the Milton Keynes Bowel gig mentioned previously.

 Hadnt forgotten it, just thats normal round 'ere..

Agree Black was the beginning of the end. new stuff is still listenable but yeah.. 'it aint what it used to be..' I had Puppets on vinyl but gave it to a mate yeeeeears ago to look after, then lost touch with them over time.. Thinking of it he had all my Maiden albums too the tw*t.

 Right. off to email old friends and find him!

I've got the Creeping Death Anniversary 12" on gold vinyl no less

Saw them in my student days at The Marquee club, London, doing a warm up gig for their tour I think, under the name The Four Horsemen. A very small venue and my ears haven't been the same since.

Saw them in '95 at Donnington Monsters of Rock. Bit later than most, but I'm clearly not as old as some of you :p

I remember getting a copied cassette of 'Garage Days Revisited'. Hearing a song like 'Last Caress' sung by your favourite band as a 13 or 14 year old is a great memory :D
