Hello everyone, first post on here! I have aquired an Eddy Merckx Strada OS in Gan colours (blue with yellow lettering) with chromed forks and 8 speed Athena grouspet, putting in at 1996 production, one of the last steel Merckx's made!
It's a great ride, fantastic even. Unfortuantely there are a few chips but absolutely nothing to write home about. One thing, however, is that the Columbus tubing sticker has come off the frame with only a few small bits left. the previous owner hung it on nails in the garage which must have done the damage :roll:
After researching I determined it was probably Brain tubing and ordered the appropriate repalcemetn off ebay (search for Merckx brain columbus and you will find it). Unfortunately the sticker is not the same size which makes me wonder if it isn't brain tubing.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Not a major issues as the bike still goes which is the most important thing, but being a tad of a perfectionist I want the right decal on there
