Had a customer walk n yesterday with a Mercian mountain bike. Never knew such a creature existed.

I too am intrigued by this. You have to get some photos of it. The bike, not the customer.

Knowing how lovely my 1984 Mercian road bike is, I can only imagine how lovely an MTB could be.

You could always call Mercian Cycles up and ask whether they ever made any mountain bike frames...

It looks like a clockwork orange paints scheme. I was taken aback by the huge campy brake levers! Pics to follow. Apparently Mercian only ever made two of these

Indeed, Mercian have always been strong advocates of Campagnolo so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a Euclid groupset.

Interestingly, I have a 3ttt cro-mo MTB stem with a foil decal 'handbuilt in Derby by Mercian'
