Mech query

Will this 10 speed FD work with my M950XTR /XT 8 speed set up or will the wider chain rub?

I asked the same question about 2x10working with 3x9 and was told no. If it is a 3x10 mech then I think it will work, but don't quote me on that.

The cage is narrower on 10speed and while the 8speed chain can easily pass through the mech,its when shifting up and down that the rubbing will occur.It will be more annoying than anything else.
