S Sithlord Old School Grand Master Nov 28, 2009 #3 My understanding is a bit vague too... but I think : M6 x10 would be a 6mm bolt by 10mm long.. ? and so on. Found this : http://www.nutsandbolts.com/v4-how-to-m ... -bolt.html

memyselfandi Dirt Disciple Nov 28, 2009 #4 Close Tintin. Bottle cage bolts are M5 and take a 4mm allen key. As a rough guide I use this site for bolt sizes. Just measure the exsisting bolts and compare them. http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/high_tens ... l_caps.htm Also a nice cheap place for spare steal allen bolts. Hope that helps.

P porkypaw Retro Guru Nov 28, 2009 #5 Length is measured from under the head of bolt or screw, not overall length.
Xesh Senior Retro Guru Feedback View Nov 28, 2009 #6 You measure the length, and diameter, of the threaded part.
