Currently servicing a '97 Marzocchi Z3 and the elastomers have disintegrated. Would a piece of polyurethane (70A hardness) work as a cheapo replacement? Fork is for my daughter's bike so won't be seeing any big drops or DH Just want it to function..

The MCU elastomer (5cm long, 3cm O.D) below the spring just fell apart when I opened it up. One of the red rebound stoppers is in pretty bad shape as well

You are correct, those are definitely elastomers in there. I would guess any would really work, I know there are a few companies who sell aftermarket elastomers. Some members here may also have some old but good ones sitting around. Probably none specifically for this fork, but I'm betting just about any would work.
I stole the crown off them for another fork hence why they in bits.
