MBUK???!!! WTF

Re:

I guess the obvious answer here is we're no longer the target audience..
Hense why we don't get it anymore.

As for mint

My favourite Mint cartoon sketch was Mint the XC racer meeting his DH counterpart at the top of a hill. DH racer to Mint "is this the start of the downhill" ..... "no its the finish of the up hill" replies Mint.

....and it makes you wonder why no bike manufacturer has tried to persuade us that left hand drive is the way to go....it would be a marvellous way to fleece the fashion conscious.

After all we need more gears.....then less gears.
Flat bars....riser bars...flat bars.
26" wheels...29" wheels...27.5" wheels ....26" wheels....no wait they haven't done that last one ... YET.

Cynical? Me? surely not!

It's already happening in BMX world, LHD is yet another fad. My mate has already made a bike with LHD; he says 'it's better for tricks because I'm right-handed'.

The BMX trinket manufacturers must be rubbing their hands with glee.

I also recently read about a gyro for hydraulic brakes - now there's an answer to a question nobody asked.

Bring back cotter pins etc...

Re:

Why cant you put rh crank in oposite side and flip rear wheel over to get lh drive? (Note i know next to fa about bmx)

The freewheel wouldn't work like when pedalling backwards same as an mtb.

Funny as when I was on me Claud Butler Spectre wiv' me Rockshox MAG20, we came across a left 'and drive BMX back in 1991...

Re:

Get a flip-flop hub and have 2 chainwheels up front and have "both side drive".

Of course, one of your freewheels will be reversed, so you'd effectively have a fixed wheel, with the right hand chain driving forwards and the left hand for reverse. :p
