I've got all the MBUK's and (most)MBi's from 1988-93. JUst missing the few that are in my Signature
That's a lot of reading to go through.
I'll check but it may take some time....
*EDIT 29/01* Gone through 1991 - not there so far!

I seem to remember an article that showed you how to lighten by using a kitchen knife to cut down your Knobblies and crank drilling. There was also a roadie chasing Lavoie titanium?
Could this be the article?

So..... Been going through my MBUK collection looking for articles. Nothing with a specific Titanium lightening project special, but I did find these articles which I though might be near the mark / of interest.....

...decided to look at MBi just in case. Found this in the Midsummer 1992 copy.

Nearer to the titanium lightweight build.... and weighs in at 19lbs 13oz - a long way off 13lbs though. Here's the scan..

@Gruff - I haven't forgotten about you! - All those mags I've been through, I've been checking for Carbolite articles / Ads at the same time! - nothing yet :?
