i finally managed to get a copy today! :x no one had it! my local shop had cancelled it! i had to order it!! donkies!!! :x

overall happy with it though, only thing about my bit is that geoff took a pic of my E3 toptube aswel as the pic of the elite etc, but didn't mention i had 2 bikes there so that could be confusing without mentioning the 2nd bike in the write up.

i'm famous now though!!

I didn't have to mention anything since I was taking the pix not writing the words! This may be aimed at the wrong person. I don't work in the MBR offices. With regards to names - imagine the myriad ways BOTH my names are spelt. And pronounced. In France I am Gee-off Woff. Call yourself Jack or Jonty and Bingo! Problem solved. ;) Good to ride out with you guys and great to see that you don't mind getting your shiney steeds muddy. So, anyway, who does want my Scott Unishock suspension fork. Light, not stiff, 15mm of travel. I spoil you. Really I do.

i know you didn't write the article geoff, wasn't aiming anything anywhere! and regarding my name spelling, well it was bound to happen! just chuffed to be in there though :D

Brilliant article would be good if a publication like Cycling Weekly did something similar for the proposed retrobike road bike ride in May

Can you keep me posted on this event? Is this the place to get updates? I'd really like to attend if I can. I promise not to take too long (it will be warmer - but I may use lights) or take a picture with the bike too far away! ;) ;)

Don't expect much from Cycling Weekly: Cycling Plus may be better. Do you want me to pitch it for you?

Just got my copy. The article reads very well and gives a good account of RB. Well done to all involved. Shame there aren't that many close-ups of the bikes though, Neilll's EWR is miles away.

How long before we start seeing signed copies in the 'For Sale' section...?

As Lance said: It's not about the bike. Except here where it is only about the bike...... Sometimes I wonder why I became a photographer! ;) :D

Incidentally, does anyone want the components details I shot put up the gallery?

No, I was being light hearted. It is a cardinal sin in journalism and there is no excuse not to double check. But since I gave up writing for pix it is someone else's problem. .

Thanks for posting those Geoff, you are right, the components look much better when wet

Here you go. This is the edit. You can download 500 pixel thumbs and use them on your sites, blogs etc.

How do you do that Geoff? I get the 'create an account' input box.

DrystonePaul, have you tried downloading? Clicking on a thumbnail should open it and at the right there is a download cue. Let me know if this isn't happening and I can change gallery permissions.
