I started to "negociate" with the seller in 2012, on May 25th...

Yes I want to sell, finally no, finally yes, but can't ship it, bla bla bla bla... 4 years of mails, phone calls. Finally end of last year I was tired off!
And I see the bike at my friend's house, and he bought it for a lover price I was offering it!

People are funny, as often-times when negotiating a sale agreement on some prized possession, there just may be a myriad of subtle details, statements, personal or communication nuances, and even purely emotive reasons that a seller might choose to not sell to one person, rather than to another ... for even a lower price yet.

Sometimes its just the way the cookie crumbled, or the way the negotiations to the deal went sideways; other times the seller might actually even be wanting to make a clear statement to one or more of the parties involved in the negotiation process.

The thing is, that its just a bike - a nice one mind, but just another 'thing'. To the above poster who lost out on the deal ... perhaps its a chance to reflect on the stream of communications and negotiations, wherewith to tease out what it actually might have been that ended up as a stumbling block on closing the deal (ie: did you draw the negotiations out too long, or say something that may have been misinterpreted or caused doubt in the seller's mind?). Or not, for of course, on the other hand he (she?) can simply keep a closed mind, hold a grudge and hang onto that anger ... and curse away at the world (there are many people who always blame someone else, for all of their life's misses and misgivings).

Its a funny world, after all ... even aggravating, as it so often may be!

PS: I spent 20 yrs as a negotiating agent in a property market context, and thus have had a chance to see almost everything unfold through the negotiation process ... and all people are driven by both similar/general, and then very unique and individual, forces and interests.

cheers ....
