Mayhem aftermath thread

Re:

Give him my one which is probably the spare one you have THM. Afterall they're not as prestigious as a VC and they practically handed them out in the Zulu wars. Seem to remember the guys fleeing the battle with colours after the catastrophic defeat to the Zulu's got VC's so surely someone who cried off with some victorian ailment you described can get a cheapo piece of cast alloy the actual medal recipient doesn't want :D

Seemed the same amount of climbing as last year but with drier conditions was easier. The chicken run around the tech descent also seemed popular which although longer still seemed quicker.

Still no.

I rode half the HONC with a broken hand before crying off. In my world I don't deserve a medal for that either so I didn't collect one.

Anyway, Ed's medal will be posted to mike for stepping in. Johnnyboy should have one too and there was another that i can't remember.

Otherwise when your great grandchildren find an old shoebox full of medals long after your passing, after pushing open the front door of your small cottage, rooms piled high with newspapers, milk bottles and saved cornflake boxes and beer cans, how will they know that the treasure they clasp to their hearts was gained fairly and with honour?

Can I have a medal even though I cried it off :(

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment, I don't want a medal :p

Whoever stepped up and plugged my gap (ooer missus) should wear the medal with pride.

Re:

Who cares what folk think I won medals for when I'm dead. I'll be dead and past caring, not for me this looking down from the here after what with it not existing and all that

Anyhoo its a Lower Maisonette Villa not a small cottage but otherwise the description is pretty accurate right now let alone when I kick the bucket

Searched through literally thousands of photos taken at Mayhem and not a single one of me on track...must have forgot to turn my cloaking device off, D'oh!
Aside from the official photographer, were there any others that may have a website with some pics?
