Max number of teeth Dura Ace rear mech???

Hello.

Can anyone tell me the maximum number of teeth a 7700 series Dura Ace rear mech will take.

Just wondered, will a DA 7700 rear mech take a 12-27 teeth cassette???

I've run that mech with 12-27. Should be fine. Even if shimano say otherwise.

12-27 No problem If its 52/42, 39/53 might just be on the limit. I don't think you will be able to use either the 52 or 53 ring with the 27 sprocket though, but will work with a 25 sprocket

Yes I'm running a 53/39.

Anyone else tried this??? Ie. 53/39 chainset and 12-27 rear cassette??

Yup, that's what I was running.
The 39x12/13 rubbed on the inside of the 53 (as they do) so I didn't use those ratios.
53x27 worked, but who the he'll would run that!

No problem, I run a 42/53 with a 12-27 cassette with a 7700 rear mech and it's just fine.
