Search for Simplex 2900 / 2901 as well, they are essentially the same thing as the Mavic 825 shifters.

Simplex do a cheaper plastic set as well, (I'm not sure of the reference). They come up occasionally on e-bay.fr

No problem. The 845 long cage rear derailleur is the hardest piece to find in my experience. I actually managed to find the main body, complete with gao dakar decal and mated it to a medium cage from an 841 Road mech. If you can find two would you let me know please?

Given the advice ive had and the ratios used, im happy to use road gear myself. ive had some help with a headset.

Still no reply from the Shifter email though.(my nerves are shot)

i have a front hub in silver built onto a wolber tubular rim ( with tubular tyre glued )
and the body of a back hub , silver . also have plenty of nos wolber tubular rims and tyres if you wanted to build a matching pair .
