Mavic peg spanners?

Hi there folks,
Recently got some Mavic 500 and 501 hubs, along with a Mavic bottom bracket. Does anyone know where I can.get peg spanners for them, or have any other tips for servicing them?
Would Campag ones fit? The Tacx Shimano compatible ones dont

You need deep pockets and one of these

or just buy a pin spanner from Park Tools and use a large washer, the axle and some caution to remove the cover

The pegs on the red Park Tool pin spanner will be too big for the hubs. I actually came in to this thread because I need to do my Mavic hub too.

Do you happen to have a link to how to service the bearings? They have cartridge bearings don't they?

I do recall a cycle shop mechanic glibly saying he knew what he was doing and failing to get inside, but not before putting a gouge into an otherwise pristine hub - it is tricky.

Once you understand the assembly of these, they are simple to build and adjust as well as robust. Highly recommend buying the 6 pin mavic tool as this will prevent damage to the alloy, as sometimes age and corrosion make them hell to move at first. Re assemble with some anti seize nickel based grease.

Oh, I thought the pins looked a bit too big. Well that's great news then because it means I won't have to buy another tool

Edit: looking at those exploded views, the hubs are simpler than I expected. Cheers for the links
