Mavic Crossmax Year by Year

I am looking to spec a set of Crossmax wheels for my 97 Ibis Alibi. I know that they are still made today, with disc and tubeless innovations and can obviously tell the old from the new but I would like to keep the bike year specific. So how can I tell a 97 from 99, is their any difference?

The first crossmaxes had steel spokes then I think in 99 or 00 they went tubeless and got Zircal(alloy)spokes.

I think these are 97 Crossmax, although I'm not totally sure and I couldn't tell you the difference between different years. Anyway, hope the pictures help as a reference for your search.
