Mavic Crossmax ST wheelset.
Black, alloy spokes, light, and pretty sexy too. These are a really nice set of wheels. But, they're sitting unused in my cupboard, where they're not doing anyone any good.
These were my first proper lightweight set of wheels (1640 grams for the pair without skewers) and as a result I'm an absolute covert to the benefits of lowest possible rotating mass. I've since moved onto to even lighter wheels.
Rather than steel, they use a Mavic specific alloy (Zicral) for the spokes. Makes 'em chunky, and they look good for it. One on each wheel is decorated in a yellow Mavic logo. They're configured as 2 cross lacing in the front, and "Isopulse" on the rear, which is 2 cross on the left non-drive side, and radial laced on the drive side. Promotes even spoke tension despite the dishing for the gears.
These particular wheels date from 2009, and are in pretty good nick. A couple of little scratches here and there, but they're overall in nice condition. They're disc specific, so you can't use V's or Canti's on them. Standard 6 bolt disc fixings. They also come with Mavic skewers.
£150 posted to UK.
If anyone wants additional photos, let me know. These ones just happened to be to hand...
Cheers.
