So this happened today slowly cycling to the shops... No idea how or why, but it did...
If anyone has a 1st gen Cosmic or 571 hub or freehub maybe on an old battered rim they don't have any use for I would gladly take it off their hands for good cash. Failing that, I guess my only option is to source a new wheel, with it being such an old and outdated design...
