Thanks for the reply. I am always attracted by things that are a little bit different and I haven't seen those before, but I don't think they are quite right for this build.

Top of the priority list is now a 32H Royce front hub.

A 90s Mavic 501/531 front hub would also still be tempting though.

Very rare are Royce hubs,excellent quality and run for ages....though I would say that,was factory xc rider and prototype tester of the hubs bitd!!
