Since we are talking Mavic here, anyone know anything about the SUP 121's? I have a set, one with a Pulstar hub, and don't have a clue how old they are or what they came from.

121 was the hardcore/DH rim up until it was superceded by the D521 around 1997-1998

Dude, your cave is well stocked for booze ;-)

That's more than recreational!

Are Mavic SUP 217s really that rare? afterall they were always considered a decent and strong set of rims so I would have thought there would still be a lot of them that survived despite no longer being made.

The Orange P7 I got off ebay for £85 still has the original SUP 217s and they seem in pretty good nick!

Re:

217s are getting hard to find. 517s are more common to come across. Going through the old rims in Mom & Pop shops are your best bet.

Cheers guys I was just curious as I might need to be more careful with what I have to preserve some history lol.
Was actually thinking of replacing them but might just get them re-trued at an LBS.
