Re:

I know we're not supposed to comment on price but Jesus, the 121 Ceramics were £55 new

Maybe on Hugi's or Big Un's or Bulbs you'd be at the £150 mark but on boggo XT's with a 737 casette...

So don't then...

They may well have been £55 new back in the day, a lot of things were cheaper back in the day.

Would you pay £600+ for a set of Mavic 217's with ringle hubs? No neither would I, but someone has quite recently.

When did you last see a set of 121 ceramics in this condition?
The hubs honestly are irrelevant, I know that.
I also haven't sold them as I don't really want to, but if someone is happy to pay what I have advertised them at then so be it.

Either way people are asked not to make comment for a reason, but now that you have, and an interested party has read it they have now decided to hold off and have a "think"...
If I was relying on selling stuff to pay bills or to put food in the mouths of my 2 young children at a very difficult time for self employed people, you may have put a stop to that because you felt the need to comment on the price.

Good job :)

Re:

I was looking for them for a project but I don’t need the hubs or cassette nor the crazy hole in my bank balance

The real issue is that this sets a benchmark for anyone who finds a 121 and Google’s it - quids in because this guy is selling at £300

From what I’ve seen looking for these rims, NOS standard seem to be going for £150 a pop (per rim). I love the wheels but I’m umming and ahrrring about the black spokes. I’m restoring my old stumpy. All the bits are silver, rc 30’s, stem, seatpost....and even though I like the black spokes, I’m not sure how it will look when on the bike.

I agree shouldn’t comment on price. I ignored it, to assess value best looking at the market place.

The real issue is you not following the pretty easy rules.
Don't comment on price, if you don't like or agree move on.
It also clearly says open to offers or trades.
Benchmarks are set in all areas of life.
If you want a set for £20, find them they might be out there.
If these don't tick your requirements move on. :)
