Marzocchi Z2 'Super Fly' or Pace RC36 Evo Pro Class - fight!

Currently running the Zocchi's on my Bow-ti, but I also have picked up a good condition set of the Pace forks. Happy enough with the Z2's, but wondering if the RC36's would be better? They certainly look cooler with their carbon legs/braces and ti nitride stanchions :) .

Waddayareckon Retrobikers, which one should I run with (and why)?

Prefer the look of the Pace tbh and always thought they worked quite well. Saying that, my mates old Zochi's seemed to be quite plush.

l've owned and used both and its a tough call they are both excellent forks. However l reckon the pace probably will look better on the Bow Ti, the machined crown being a closer match than the zocchi's shiny one. Pace a shade lighter (in weight) as well with the carbon bits. Plus you can run them at 90mm

I'm running both on 2 different bikes.

Z2 Superflys on the Parkpre
RC36s on the Dave Yates.

RC36s loads plusher and also lighter
Z2s far more adjustment options and also stiffer. But it takes a lot to get them moving so I don't find them as comfortable.

Really depends where you're riding. I've found the Marzocchis good on rides with a lot of tarmac out to more technical stuff and back - where the RC36s are better on gentler woodland stuff without too much stand-up and grind.

If I had to choose one and I wasn't such a Pace freak - I'd probably choose the Marzocchis.

For anyone reading
S-fly's are Air sprung, oil damped forks. (Marz's first in their bomber line, later name changed to X-Fly with a mildy better design).
Spares are redily available for tehse, even some obscure ones I found out.

RC36 are, I dunno ?
Spare are, I dunno ?

<guess I'm not too interested in pace >
