Martyn Ashton signature frame (cannondale).

Re:

I would take £250 for it.
I sold my last one for £480 but appreciate this one has the bad marks on the bottom.

Re:

Yes no worries mate, they don't come up for sale often, took me 4 years to buy my first one!

Re:

I've wanted one of these for ages but I think this £250 is quite high considering it looks like there's a fair bit of material taken from the stays and the original frameset was sold with the p-bone fork.

If you can do anything on the price, drop me a pm.

Re:

No probs,
One in the same kind of condition with no forks went for £320 on eBay which is how I gauged the price and lowered it a little for a forum member.
And as said my other one with forks went for just under £500.
Worst case I will keep it or put it on eBay as you hardly ever see them for sale, I have seen 3/4 for sale in the last 6 years.

I've had alerts come up for a few every year with the full builds around £500, some are conversions to 'normal' bikes so are better condition. Ebay is hit and miss for stuff like this, if youre lucky you might get an enthusiast who will pay a bit over the odds.

Re:

You have done very well then as I have only seen 1 full build which was on the single track website about 3 years ago and that was converted to xc.
I looked just about every day/ week for my first one and took me along time (years).
By all means wait for one to come up, but as frame and forks you will be paying over £300.
Cheers
Dan

While I try to avoid commenting on price on for sale threads (as per the forum rules) I'm going to side with Dan here. I think £250 is a very fair price. I remember a mate having one of these bitd and I usually search for them weekly on Ebay just to see if I can see a full build I'd like. Off the top of my head I think there have been about four on Ebay over the past six or so months and as frame or frame and forks they've gone for about £140 to £500. There are so many variables when dealing with Ebay and despite it being so popular you do still get freaky bargains. If I remember rightly the one that went for around £140 had a terrible write up and had been used extensively for trials plus it ended at a really odd time. The average price is usually about £250 so I feel your price is fair. If those saying it's too much can cite examples other than the one I've mentioned that have gone for around the £100 mark that's been mentioned I'd be very shocked. Just my thoughts and good luck with the sale!

Re:

Thanks for the reply!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I like you look for these frames all the time, eBay/ google etc as Ashton was my hero back in the day, I also have a red F500 build iam doing at the mo, which is another reason iam selling this frame as the viper red bike is the one I felll in love with in Chainspotting.
Also although the rep was sold with the p bone fork ashton never used these hence why I have the fatty r forks to go with the frame.

I remember meeting him at Bike 98 in Birmingham, he was really friendly and even let me sit on his bike and have a photo taken! That was the red bike, In my opinion that was the one that looked best, pity they never did one of those.
