Er, not sure about keeping it together, history is something but this bike really is just a mishmash of parts at this stage. Getting some decent forks/headset/wheel rims will be key to getting it up to scratch.
Sians story is interesting though and as for her cafe, we had a similar situation in our community except the council didn't back down.
Seatpost came out after some hacksaw blade action but I thought there was more corrosion between the collar and frame, rather than the post and collar.
