I have a ‘94 Team Issue, which is in okay condition beyond the usual spots of rust beneath the lacquer and tatty decals. Have removed the lacquer and polished in a small, unobtrusive test area.. okay.. the whole non-drive chainstay.
Basically I am committed to stripping the lacquer off the whole frame now and attacking with MAAS.
The issue I have is that the ‘94 frame has a very slightly gold or Ti tinge to it. It isn’t mirror finish nickel in other words.. but it’s about to be, it appears.
It looks to my eye that catalogue images of the ‘93 Team Issue is much shinier, so I am tempted just to polish my ‘94 up and decal like a ‘93.
Question is - are the two vintages of frame the same? Tubing seems the same.. but does anyone know whether geometry etc is the same?
